Our WAT Den design was expertly curated by the Onesto team.
The very first draft concept is the one we progressed with because it captured the exact mood, sentiment and aesthetic we were after. It was always going to be challenging to create what we wanted for our guests. Our bar is situated opposite the beach, so we need something light and approachable in the entrance, and warm and inviting with deeper tones as you moved toward the modern cigar lounge vibe at the back of the venue. The team met this need perfectly, creating a feature bar that brings patrons close to our bartenders for an intimate experience, every chair in the venue is a comfortable chair to encourage people to slow down and enjoy our mode of service, and everything from selecting design features, lighting, materials, and ensuring the right flow through the venue was meticulously crafted by the Onesto team, it was a real joy to work them.
WAT Den has recently been named number #13 bar in Queensland out of the top 30 bars named (Boothby Awards) and this is, in no small part, down to the design and atmosphere that was beautifully created for our guests to enjoy.
The team worked seamlessly together, and with us, to envision a premium venue in a traditionally casual environment which has allowed us to stand out and become a favourite drinking spot for locals and tourists alike.
